The line Wroclaw - Rome
The line Wroclaw – Rome is one of the interdisciplinary items of the programme: a project built on the connection between the two cities and on what travels along it — people, forms, ideas about how a city should look.
Wroclaw has been rebuilt and renamed more than once, and its architecture carries several traditions at the same time. Setting it against Rome, a city that has kept adding layers without erasing the old ones, gives a way of looking at both that neither would offer alone.
Projects of this kind sit outside the ordinary sections of the festival, which is why they are grouped as interdisciplinary: the material can be shown as an exhibition, a meeting or a performance, and often as all three across different days.
The venue, dates and form of each part are given in the programme section.
