About the festival

Wroclaw Non Stop is a summer festival that takes over Wroclaw for ten days, from the 23rd of June to the 2nd of July. It is not built around a single stage or a single genre: concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions and open-air meetings run in parallel, in venues spread across the whole city, and the programme is deliberately put together so that the days overlap and the city never falls quiet — hence the name.

The promoter of the festival is the Municipality of Wroclaw, and the event is treated as the culmination of the city's cultural season. Rather than importing a ready-made line-up, the organisers build the programme together with local institutions, independent groups and artists working in the city, which is why the same edition can hold a jazz quintet, a street theatre piece, a poster competition and a night picnic on the riverbank.

The programme is divided into four sections — Music, Theatre, Plastic arts and Interdisciplinary. The last of these covers everything that refuses to sit in one category: performances that move through public space, projects made with residents of a particular district, meetings and screenings arranged around the city's own history.

Entry rules differ from event to event. A part of the programme is free and open to anyone who happens to walk past, while concerts held at the main venues are ticketed. Details for each item, together with dates and locations, are listed in the programme section of this site.
